Underground 1, right?
Played through UG2 for the first time (proper) this year and a bunch of times through Most Wanted and gotta say, outside of the latter having a habit of crashing on me, god did I love it. Could easily start it and zone out for 8 hours lol
this is ug2, but yes they are quite beautiful games. it's a pity it's harder for most people to get into this game as adults but i do believe these games offer an experience that no other games can
ah, was not sure but I also don't know the ug2 map *too* well
full agree, whenever I go back there's just something special about them. similar for Gran Turismo 4 for me. has me wish they'd eventually do a remaster of what is my goat era of NFS
as for a remaster; i don't truly believe they need one. not only are these games pretty good, especially if you emulate them, there's a lot of mods for the pc versions that revamp them more than a remaster ever would
granted in terms of visuals and all, I'm with you that (imo) they don't really need one, as my needs are already met with being able to blow it up to resolutions of my choice via mods. Now I just wish that the PC version was more stable for MW in particular as at times it can be a mess... :D
yeah, which is why i prefer emulating it. although i will say i grew up playing the pc port and i don't remember crashes being a major issue but i always seem to get lucky with these things. and i maybe it's bc i grew up with them but i never install any graphical mods to these games
can't blame you for it but they do have a slightly different aesthetic. mostly the same since it is just a sequel made in a years timespan as a "here's things we wanted in the original but couldn't do due to time constraints" thing
that'd make sense, plus me never having played UG1 really also added to the confusion on my end - learning about the schedule they had years after the fact makes it even more impressive what they pulled off as time progressed
yeah. even most wanted 2005 was made in a year, most of the nfs games were made in a year back then, it's impressive how they're considered some of the best despite that insane constraint. blackbox really were good at what they did
