I agree this is a decent move but to be honest I wouldn’t let either of the snake oil lying toe tags across the threshold. The list of Starmer’s broken election promises is lengthy. He will say and do anything that suits his purposes on any given day. Not a principled man and not a nice one either.

The peace dividend has lulled many of us into a pacifist slumber. 20 years ago it was even suggested that Russia could join NATO. I was against retaining our nuclear weapons, I was wrong. The world order with US as leader and guarantor as been collapsed by Trump as Putin attempts to restore the USSR

Kemi Badenoch a leading expert on defence calls for defence spending to be raised to 3% of GDP. This comes after the UK Gov't gave Ukraine a cheque for £2.26bn yesterday. Badenoch struggled to understand simple addition in PMQ's on 26th February 2025.
