We have a lower rate of tariff than the EU because we don't export as many goods to the USA as the EU. This is a measure of Brexit failure, not success.

This is where I need @femi-oluwole.bsky.social to help me, because I think, the tariff will cost us 0.4%, whereas Brexit is already costing 4%. The fact we have a lower tariff than the EU isn't a Brexit win. We're losing money because of Brexit. In the EU we'd be hit by 0.8% which is still lower.

Europe is a huge market, if a Unified European investment and financial market emerged from this it would be very powerful; providing the financial attraction to our best companies/“start-ups” to stay in Europe. The UK should be a leading partner in this.
