Based on the estimated biomass of the forests in Merauke, the project will release 782.45 million metric tons of greenhouse gases into the atmosphere, according to the CELIOS report. Terrible, terrible news especially considering that Indonesia will be one of the hottest areas in the world due to climate change. It's not surprising that the govt isn't prepared at all, but to actively worsen the situation? I am lost at words
