I've talked to both hardline LPC and NDP supporters. Their stances are what will sink us all. They aren't even open to having the best chance candidate run in any given riding while the other team sits out. It's a disgusting show of egos over country.

We also had Stéphane Dion, Michael Ignatieff, and Bob Rae which didn't help. It took Trudeau to right the ship. The NDP got it wrong with Mulcair and not electing Charlie Angus.

Dion was smart and effective, but too much of an egghead. Ignatieff was not Canadian, anymore. Bob Rae should’ve been after Dion. Mulcair was not at home in the NDP, but I liked him.

Dion was the wrong guy for the time. Rae first then Dion, just my opinion, and never Ignatieff. I remember Mulcair from when he was a provincial Liberal when Jean Charest was Premier. Lost faith in him because he courted all 3 Federal parties at the same time after he left the provincial Liberals.

Possibly but there was a good amount of friction between him and colleagues. He was never NDP material, at least in my opinion. He would have been a better fit for the LPC, might have even had a shot at the leadership.

I maintain Kennedy could have won the '08 election & healed some infighting wounds. Alas, both his career & the Liberals' fortunes turned downward when he walked over to Dion, rather than the other way around.

I agree he is no Jack Layton.

He should at least wait till the foreign interference report comes out. If PP gets in many things will go to the way side.
