Most of us would rather debate here, where its a matter of public record. We are worried that you may spin things to imply you are “talking to clean air campaigners” or worse, that you want to threaten us with legal action without witnesses.

We understand that you are angry, and appreciate your reasons, but our offer is genuine and what you describe isn't our style, which is why we take time to engage on here. Happy to meet you and hopefully from there we can build some trust.
Would consider if you also invite your mates from Defra, otherwise there’s not much in it for us. If you could explain your position on emissions per user on here (about the same as 4 average HGV exhausts according to NAEI), we may be more willing to accept that your invitations are in good faith.
Unfortunately we have no sway with Defra.
Interesting per user question... not sure we have enough data to say partly because domestic combustion covers all burning inside and out. Certainly worth discussing this if we meet.
Its not "interesting" if you have your health impacted by it, its scandalous! @eddavey.libdems.org.uk Can you ask the govt why these outrageous levels of pollution are permitted in areas that are meant to be protected by the Clean Air [email protected] @ashleydaltonmp.bsky.social?
Its a very simple calculation. Faux naivety wont cut it! Have you actually looked at the NAEI data? It clearly says “Domestic Closed Stove – EcoDesign” How can that be mixed up with outdoor burning? That is listed in a separate category! (1/2)
Total “Domestic Closed Stove – EcoDesign” is 1.1759ktonnes. Total HGV exhaust emissions is 0.242ktonnes. According to UK gov stats 817000 "Ecodesign" stoves, 485,900 HGVs. So each Ecodesign user is roughly equivalent to 4 HGVs idling on roof. Your comments on why this is acceptable please? (2/2)
We are Charnwood! - Our MD is the non-exec vice-chair of the SIA as a manufacturing member, but the Defra discussions would normally be handled by the SIA executive team.
Not exactly "no sway" tho is it?
You have a direct connection via the SIA to DEFRA.
I'm sure that the SIA will be asking your MD their opinion on DEFRA.

"Defra is working closely with the industry to educate consumers on how to burn the right fuel in the right appliance, in order to reduce emissions."
