I just today (Sunday) received a call from my forest service supervisor. I was laid off as a result of Mr. Trump's EO excising all probationary federal employees. He made sure it was done over the long weekend rather than waiting until the next work day. 1/ - ThreadSky

Furthermore, at the beginning of this year I was diagnosed with Prostate Cancer. I am now about to lose my insurance which I would have depended greatly on as I went through treatments. Now I'm facing likely medical bankruptcy.

The Forest Service hired me under a Schedule A authority (disability, as a result of my stroke). I finally found a job I loved and was good at doing and have now lost it arbitrarily and capriciously.

I am a US Army veteran of both active service (4 years) and the Washington National Guard (4 years). I was a nurse for nearly 30 years before suffering a stroke and switching careers to something less stressful.

I am/was an archaeologist for the Forest Service. I serve(d) the southern half of the Okanogan-Wenatchee Forest, a federal landscape forest with high priority. I have served the Forest Service as a seasonal employee since 2020 and was just hired in a full-time capacity in August of last year.
