I bought an old book from a book dealer in Ireland the other day, they hop over the border every so often to post them, so you might have to wait a bit.
Brexit was insanity on steroids.. costs us £bns & for no gain.

I tried to send a garment to Paris and got it returned, because I didn't check the country of origin before filling in the customs form. Didn't expect officials to open the parcel! 😏 Something that I never had to do before fucking fucked up Brexit.

Just caught BBC "Vintage French Farmhouse"...dealers buying antiques in FR markets then selling them online back to clients in UK. I wonder if their clients were ready for the Brexit (customs etc) charges (if the wooden stool received at all?) that sellers didn't include??

I think they bring the goods back from France for their customers rather than posting out to U.K. We’ll assume sellers pay the required VAT when returning to U.K. Don’t think traders are aware of this wood documentation reqt. No one talking about it yet.

On that basis they need to declare everything at UK customs border when they arrive there then, for approp.UK customs charges paid there, inc tariffs unless can prove rules of (EU) origin.
If no official ticketed/invoice value then at commercial resale value determined by & at UK customs discretion

I sent a parcel to Belgium recently. No commercial value but the recipient was still charged VAT and handling because of the cost of postage. I should have known not to bother and just drive everything across the border.
