This satirical, environmental allegory tells the story of animals struggling to survive on a polluted body of water called "Come Along Slough." Think "Animal Farm" and "Watership Down."

We call 'em "sloos" north of the 49th just like the US. I've never heard the rhymes with bough British pronunciation in Canada. Then there's "sluff" or "sluffing" as in bark sloughing off a dead tree. No wonder people find English such a challenging language. Interesting book. Will check it out.
