Jim Lovell is a great guy, he comped the private dining room in his restaurant for my son's Navy basic training graduation family dinner, and was so gracious when he came by to meet everyone and congratulate my son. There is a whole wall of all of his NASA memorabilia there too.

I remember and then they read from the Book of Genesis. The next summer we were in awe as watched Armstrong and Aldrin walk on the moon. I was 12.

When my daughter was 11 she did a school report on Apollo 13. She emailed a list of questions to Captain Jim Lovell and he was kind enough to answer them all and sent her a signed photo. He was surprised that children still learned about the mission, and was selfless and gracious with his answers.
