#OnThisDay in 1965, 600 marchers were attacked on Selma's Edmund Pettus Bridge during a Voting Rights protest. Known as #BloodySunday, this march was one of 3 from Selma to Montgomery.

Last night, I was checking out films featuring Gene Hackman. I settled on watching Mississippi Burning, a film I haven't watched since its release.
Suffice it to say, I was saddened by how inhumane some aspects of American society were, or should I say still are.
