only massive losers avoid the subway. if they want to spend a bunch of money to sit in traffic it hurts them more than me

It's really not right that they call it congestion pricing when there's literally no time of day that you don't have to pay.

The city is literally only full of cars between 7:30 AM and 8pm.

Times Sq theater district til shows let out. So end it at 11pm.

24 hrs is a pure moneygrab.

Traffic is down significantly since the congestion pricing went into effect.

I just personally think there shouldn't be any charge at all in middle of night. There are people who work nights, overnights, that can't use public transportation then.
& bodega deliveries etc, could happen then.

I commute in a different state, but I much prefer my own car. I can sit down, drink my coffee, and listen to my audiobooks. I also memorized the NATO phonetic alphabet using passing license plates. There is nothing charmingly thrifty about having to stand on a crowded train for over an hour.

Just spent a month plus in NYC. Congestion pricing totally works to achieve its goals unless you are a suburbanite who held an odd point of pride in slow traffic, bridge/ tunnel tolls and pricey parking. Oh, and there's racism/classism, too.
