With the amt of upcoming legal challenges I can easily see this all following the same playbook of them pointing at the judiciary and saying "look how inefficient and horribly run this is!" and using that as justification to try gutting it as much as possible or to get more loyalists shoehorned in

I'll note one other high level thought I haven't been able to shake:

I think a lot of people have been brought in to execute an agenda with illegal tactics.

I'm actually not sure if some of these (esp younger tech folks) will end up with civil or even criminal individual liability.

(The strategy may be mass pardons. I actually don't know the law on this, but I would appreciate a legal expert unpacking whether that's feasible.

I'd put it at... 25%? odds that 2-4 years from now OIGs and a new DOJ come back hard on anyone who executed this agenda with illegal activity.)

Candidly though mostly I'm trying *not* to lend my attention to this, and instead allocate it to some problem spaces where I see it having significant direct leverage potential, as well as just individual important stuff (my baby, my health)

its ALL violations of the CFAA & its definitely felony level the games they are presently pulling.. I have seen successful prosecutions in the late 80's & 90's for far less as an observer of the computer underground
