He's in junior high and is the only 7th grade percussionist, and one of only two 7th graders overall, to be in the Honors Band. He really enjoys it & it makes me so proud. We've always been close but being able to share this is the icing on the cake!

He's likely already better than I am! That's a pretty low bar though. I didn't take lessons until I was 54. Played pretty consistently for 6 years (2 years lessons, 4 years in a band), but it's been hit or miss since. Was just getting back into it when I had shoulder replacement surgery on 1/15. 🤷‍♂️

I always wanted to play drums. I asked my parents if I could take percussion in 9th grade but they said they couldn't afford it, so I never played an instrument until I was looking for a hobby after my sons were on their own. I decided to learn to play drums. Was never very good but it's a blast!

I need a hollow body! I would like a 335. Vacuum tubes - my guitar amp head uses 7 of them. I built a stereo amplifier and pre-amplifier that use 6 more. And one more in my bass compressor pedal - you should get a Markbass compressor pedal.
