It's my experience that because climate and energy are overwhelmingly white and heteronormative that by and large this type of activity is considered inconsequential or minor. Fringe. Unlikely. It's not, though, for the vast majority of us who are first to fight for justice and last to be included.
The minimization of *us* and of our work and our identities is going to continue to put us in harm's way if everyone white and powerful in climate and energy continues to carry on with business as usual.
If you've opened this and read this far and your day job is anywhere in proximity to mine, *you know this woman whose story i highlighted*. Please start to speak up and to talk to those you work with and those you trust about how you're going to have to change yourselves and your work.
