Every day since January 20, 2025, the people in charge of the US government are letting an unelected Silicon Valley-style executive actively break those guardrails and no one in the Legislative Branch gives a damn about keeping the Executive Branch in check. The politicians in the pockets of big business and big business itself wanted us mostly docile. As long as enough of us could live, they would have customers. They didn’t care that they inflicted pain, but they had enough of a sense of self preservation to not hurt too many people and 🧵

And I don’t know how much time I have left. We are one pandemic away from things shutting down. I am in a privileged position. I have health insurance that allows me to get good care. Most people in the US don’t have that. And We the People just let this happen.

This is mostly a rant but I just wanted to get it down somewhere. We all still have a lot of life to live and if politicians are able to avoid us from holding their feet to the fire, we need a better class of leadership.
