Cecil would gather and sow the dried, crushed flower heads in November. He would sprinkle them on the mossy stream banks or any suitable bare spot. The tiny seeds would germinate the following spring.

I had not considered the seeds, what a wonderful idea thank you! I will try that this fall. We live on the top of a hill overlooking a wetland swampy area. It's much dryer on the top up here, but I do I have a few low lying shady & bare areas. I will try them there.
