History is for us to learn from so that we do not repeat the same atrocious things over and over again. It's clear that our current administration did not learn anything from any history class they attended.

See, I think a mistake in this assessment is that they went to these schools and didn’t learn a thing. I propose that they DID actually learn about those atrocities, and that they don’t give a damn. Ignorance is one thing, but they all KNOW. And their feelings toward that makes it more dangerous.
Sociopaths like Trump and Musk, and many of those who follow them, are incapable of learning this lesson, due to their inability to empathize with others. Further, a part of their illness is that they glory in the pain of others. Such people should never be allowed near government.
