Just checked something, and what.
Not only does Apple charge Patrons EXTRA, but transactions take 75 days after purchase to become available for withdrawal?
Anyway, support creators through web browser, NOT app.
Jesus.

Secondly, like most (all?) app stores, they pay usually in quarters, or at a certain future date because of things like refunds which are a part of the platform.
Apple gets flack because they’re the only app store that goes “you will use our billing service OR ELSE”.
Aren’t you getting a bit tired of defending the world’s richest corporation against us evil starving artists?
I am not defending anything other than the concept of a store and a platform. One which has made MANY "starving artists" very good money over the years.
They do this so they can earn interest on your revenue before payout.
B) is there a way we can change it? Cancel and resub?
Imagine living life as a poor, unfortunate soul with only FOUR islands?
I can't imagine what this must be like for those who rely on Patreon supporters for most of their income.
Fuck. Apple.
So if you do it through the app:
YOU pay more.
The creator you want to support won't see that money for 2,5 months, lmao.
Do they TELL people this in the iOS store app, or?
If you're in the EU, VAT is added to the price as well. Don't know if a VPN works to avoid that.
Apple wants a bigger piece of the pie. The only sensible counter offer is to build a new pie where Apple gets nothing.
I'm glad they gave us the choice.
Go boomer, go web
Also Apple is not charging extra, Pateron is doing that to offset the Apple store fees. You know, the fees every store on earth, digital or physical, charge?
Then, they can download the iOS app, log into their Patreon account, and browse the contents without any further issues.
Apple App Store
▪ 30% for apps & in-app products
▪ Except 15% for subscriptions after 12 months
Google Play Store
▪ 30% for apps & in-app products
▪ Except 15% for subscriptions after 12 months
Amazon Appstore
▪ 30% for apps, in-app products, & in-app subscriptions
I hope that helps!
In general if you're in their ecosystem: use the damn browser to sign up for stuff.
The worst part is it's legal.
I don't need a "luxury" PC, or "luxury" phone, I want one that does WHAT I WANT IT TO.
I'd never buy or use apple, not for anything, not ever. I'd rather learn how to use Linux if I ever had to use a different OS than windows. Apple is disgustingly user unfriendly.
Apple machines compare well in price to similar specced PCs (if they even exist, which in the case of the M3 Ultra they don't).
Who is stealing from you? A store is meant to just let you do business in it for free? Who would be stealing there then?
You are *vastly* out of date.
If its to play games, no one said buy a Mac to play games. All that was said is that Macs *can* play games as they have more support than ever.
Meanwhile no-one needs a 3090ti apart from incredibly niche tasks.
You didn't even need to reply to me the first time.
