🥰 well you are in luck because this is actually an older piece and I have a bunch of other ones I've done similar to this! Stay tuned and I'll post them in the future as well 😉
my god, look at how much my sweet ghost boyo has grown, he's gained a whole new dimension, I'm so proud of him (napstablook is one of my 3 sweet babies from ut so I'm very happy seeing someone made this)
THANK YOU that means a lot to me because in the software I made it in it's really hard to loop the particles without some trickery haha so thank you! 🥰
yeah fair enough but at least to me and many others "low poly" just means using the least amount of polygons to convey a shape and textures to convey detail depending on style (mario from sm64 is basically all lights).
this, at least to me, is just flat shaded, solid color, sharper faces artstyle
Even in the n64/PS1 era, many games had models with 700~1k triangles on average; some later PS1 games like Tekken 2 had fighters with ~1500 tris. The PS1 Final Fantasy games actually had monsters and bosses with over 3k tris!
I think it's best to see lowpoly as more of a "style" than a hard limit.
Thank you so much! I actually used Autodesk 3DS Max to model and animate it and then put together the flat colors just in Photoshop. These days I work in Blender for 3D stuff but I could have made this exact same thing in Blender too hahaha.
The low poly look always slaps, and I think it fits undertale perfect. Look at the ghostly boi. If you're down, you should try and whip up some other undertale characters in low poly!
Thank you so much!! This is actually an older piece that I made alongside a bunch of other ones, so stay tuned for more uploads like this in the future 😎🥰
Hahaha I originally made this in 3DS Max and rigged it in there. I work in Blender now but I've hardly played with any skinning+rigging but I really need to 😅
He's crying extra hard because now he has to eternally exist with an extra dimension he didn't ask for. At least he can lie down on the floor like a piece of garbage in 3 dimensions now.
