When Amazon offered me the chance to inflict DRM on my books, I happily checked no. Anybody who wants to steal them can just download them from a pirate site. The only honest people I'd be inconveniencing are my paying readers.
I had to downgrade the size and quality of images in some manga I purchased so readers would accept them, and it would have been so much faster to do that.
Corey Doctorow is a great pick for that. Also, many of the people that are published by Tor Books tend towards DRM free, for more sci-fi-ey spins on things. The Three Body Problem is DRM-free for instance.
