My opinion of him and your opinion of him are obviously different. Racism and misogyny have taken a front row seat in this country. It's always been here, true, but not as blatantly as now, since the 70s, that I've seen. I don't appreciate his view on women. Did we hemorrhage men? I'm not sure.
I am not sure who you mean by "him"? If you mean Trump, we do agree. If you mean Carville, I have no opinion on him, but find his arguments sound. I am sure you are right, that it has grown worse. Trump does that. But it seems in this election, the Dem party pushed swing-voters away on other issues.
Misogyny and racism will still be the result, though, and likely grow. I am sorry 😢
But I think Carville's take is more constructive, something that can be built upon and less depressing.
I can't find anything more depressing than listening to an 80 yr old man giving his opinion on Kimberly Guilfoyle succumbing to gravity and him giving advice on how she could have used a better plastic surgeon. He thinks we should have paid more attention to men. Fuck him. #FuckThePatriarchy
I mean Carville by "him." I find his misogynistic words quite offensive. He used to be worth a listen, now, I can't stand to hear him speak. He needs to stop telling women what to do or maybe he should just fuck off. I enjoy sharing opinions with you. Thanks Mads Ravn, for sharing yourself with me.
Scratch a little deeper. They are people who haven’t evolved beyond survival. They NEED scapegoats for their anger and fear because they never learned to be responsible for their own anger and fear.
Authoritarians simply do a great job of serving scapegoats on silver platters.
Absolutely! Every single word you said is true. Keeping them sick, poor and uneducated is their goal because it works. It's lovely to be on the same team that you are!
Western culture & Christianity do a $h!t job of teaching emotional maturity. There’s a reason elections are won by the team that’s best at anger and fear.
I agree. Critical thinking is something I started teaching my children from birth. Where has that gone? So many MAGA that I have spoken to had no idea why they even wanted to vote for Trump. Really?
They really don’t. Here’s a hack: they NEED to fit in. Tell them they don’t belong in your world until they grow up and figure out why they chose him. They have to be made accountable for their own choices before they can become the captain of their own ship.
Yeah, the number of weird "own the libs" dudes is insane. " he lied about the economy." "Yeah well at least he's owning the libs." A true testimony of cutting off the nose to spite the face.
Never forget the words of Trump supporter Crystal Minton in 2019:
"I voted for him, and he's the one who's doing this," she said of Mr. Trump. "I thought he was going to do good things. He's not hurting the people he needs to be hurting."

I am much more inclined to believe James Carville here. It's tough love, but he is keeping it real: https://youtu.be/ECXzXtzuxGg?si=xvRsRz7CV6Di7kzF
