All these people needing bookshelves... I'm moving in about 6 months. If you live in the Baltimore/Washington area, let me know and there might be some kind of "come pick up and I'll give it to you" deal.
She’s your mother! How wonderful. I just read The Giver with my 13 year old and then quickly jumped to Gathering Blue and just finished it today. What an exquisite, gorgeous story. It will stay with me always. Please thank her for me.
I’m starting Messenger today, although I did start Gathering again! Couldn’t help myself. Thank you for replying. Things are so dark right now and this has offered me a glimmer of something good. 💙
A little on the older side. Indebted vastly to so many books. Let's face it, the Printing industry is capitalist enterprise in total. Can't read books ad infinitum . So, trying to sort this out, building the U-SASC. Can be seen at shingla .wordpress .com. Talk of solving equation for 1.5B people
I need to start getting back to buying actual books and not these audio books. I used to have a reasonable size book shelf & I now have a very small one.
That's how I feel about e-books, although I don't have room for physical book collection right now, I still feel guilty for reading on an e-reader for some reason.

You are absolutely right- so much to look forward to next year.
Coincidentally my first book[My Secret Friend] is coming out next year as well, so 2025 should be a good year indeed.
Missing having a bookmark option but I'll figure it out.
