Thanks, really enjoying this. Knew some of it but this is much broader survey. We really, really need to reclaim the word 'anarchy' from the Daily Mail definition:

Thanks for sharing @davidwengrow.bsky.social and @cjfrieman.bsky.social (well done on the paper). IMO this is very important for grappling with bioarchaeological narratives in which inequality and evolutionary processes often figure large by default, even if theoretical framework isn't articulated.
