thank you for asking! sincerely! the best thing anyone - cis or trans - can do right now is start explaining to anyone who will listen how these attacks against trans people are hurting everyone, and how fighting against them is in their interest.

a few quick explanations:

a) attacking any groups (trans ppl, immigrants, etc) makes us desperate and afraid, which results in making us willing to work for lower wages, which brings down everyone's wages (since the bosses make us compete with one another).

b) if they can tell us what to wear, what healthcare we can access, what bathroom to use, etc., they can do it to anyone, including cis people. and they will. this is about personal freedom. limiting ours limits yours.

make it about the listener's rights, because we're all in this together.

c) When they talk about restricting our rights, they are talking about forcing ALL women to conform to male standards of beauty. Cis women can have strong jawlines and facial hair. Cis women can be tall and broad. Cis women can be “ugly.”

All of these qualities will make cis women frequent targets.

Most cis people don't know what is going on. I had coffee the other day with a friend who is one of the most supportive cis people I know, and she was unaware of most of what is in the various executive orders.
