That's a bit much. At that point the amount of buttons is overwhelming, and without significant familiarity, that's just as distracting as a touchscreen trying to figure out which button or dial does what.

You familiarize yourself with the controls before you ever leave the driveway. Not every button or knob is essential for a short trip, so the lesson is QUICK. Easier done than learning a new "app" at a test drive.
Like, 34 buttons and 4 dials? A touchscreen needs to be added at that point so that the essential buttons and dials can be isolated and easy to access, while leaving the bloat elsewhere.
Buttons and dials are quickly memorized and can be operated by feel. I can operate virtually every control in my car without taking my eyes off the road.
So instead you're having to memorize touchscreen sub menus and having to look at the screen in order to press them? Which you shouldn't be doing while in motion.
Most of these things ARE isolated. Theres 3 panels there. They're for 3 different. A chunk of the top are just radio station presets
