I have one more thought to add after rewatching this episode. Do you think the old man on the transport ship to Ferrix sold Luthen the countermeasures he later uses against the tractor beam? The old guy says he works in propulsion and add-ons, & there isn’t anything later in dialogue to contradict.

I hadn’t thought of that.. maybe! And it did seem like a foreshadowing of Cassian knowing about the “add-on” load clutch for the freighter on Aldhani. So he had quite possibly had dealings with this guy.! Ferrix and its salvaging culture… Great world-building.

If not him, then someone like the old man. Cass does say it’s a custom job that everyone knows. Good point!

On that point, I think Cass saved himself by explaining the clutch. Otherwise, I think Nemik’s flying and Cass is getting smashed by the trolley of coins..

Good point. There’s also a video on YouTube that basically blames Cassian for Nemik’s death by leaving that trolley there, unsecured.
