I don't think it's productive to act like people can't boycott multiple things at the same time in a post commenting on one specific thing (see the link in the post), nor is it helpful to be negative in someone's replies instead of using that energy to mobilise people to join the boycotts

I've seen how these "boycotts" go and if you've seen my previous replies, you'll note XBox is like... the least important thing to Microsoft. If you really want to upend them, you're gonna have to stop using Microsoft products altogether.

BDS is a campaign made up of almost 200 Palestinian civil society organisations, which puts a huge amount of time and effort into researching and choosing their boycott targets strategically before they release them, and they've had wins and will continue to get wins.

agreed. Bethesda is also a publishing studio.... while id software is making Doom Dark ages... Bethesda fronted the cash for the game to exist thus stand to make return on investment for it's success. an effective boycott has to hit everything... not pick an choose.

the bigger issue I take with this is that this will simply cause Microsoft or Xbox to shut down game studios, not stop funding weaponry for Israel.
In fact, Xbox has the least amount of growth in Microsoft's stable of services and products in Q2 of this year.

It looks like the big things are search, cloud, and office. Sadly, the business world runs on Office. My employer uses Office 365 and OneDrive and certainly won't stop.

It's very hard to effectively boycott a giant like MS. I personally use Linux at home, but that's not doing much to them.

Again, I appreciate the "do what you can" spirit of boycotting, but gaming or lack thereof is the thing least likely to hurt Microsoft's income and therefore will have the least impact for the thing attempting to be accomplished.

From what I heard, Neil Druckman (CEO of Naughty Dog, owned by SIE, also writer and director of The Last of Us Part II) is known to be a Zionist. BDS would have to demand Sony Interactive Entertainment and Naughty Dog to fire him and possibly blacklist him from the industry for that very reason.
