He’s going to tell insurance companies they no longer have to pay for depression and anxiety meds, if people want them they have to self pay. I know someone who is terrified of this. It would cost her $900 a month if she wants to continue to take her depression meds. She can’t afford it.

As a mom of ADHD children I spent years trying everything (diet, exercise, therapy…) to avoid meds. When it became an issue of safety (mine and theirs) I gave in. It was a life changing, night and day improvement almost immediately. This decision should 100% ONLY be between patients and DOCTORS!

Yes, I believe my children will have a better, happier, healthier life than my husband and I who are undiagnosed/untreated and had to struggle to get through adolescence and young adulthood. Going through school/life labeled “bad kids” does more harm than any ADHD or Antidepressant med ever has.

I'm so sorry sis. Most have no idea the harm this causes families of children with disabilities, whether those kids are still children, or now grown adults. Self harm is a very real constant that can often take years to reduce. His own family was impacted, which makes it all the more gross.
