Sometimes they tell us what they want and we can only listen.

They make the story better most times 🙏

This is why I'm a pantser. My characters don't give a shit about plans and outlines lol

I’m a mix but give my characters some leeway. This was supposed to be part of the midpoint moment but I guess I’ll have to up those stakes now lol

My characters do that all the time. I find it best to let the characters steer the book sometimes.

Same. I leave a lot of room in my outline for that reason & it usually plays out well.

At this point, they are running the story and you’re chasing after them trying to document it.

In practice, your knees are shaking.

the only way to stop them from kissing is just to make them dumber
