I've been rewatching the whole series & just watched this episode for the first time a couple nights ago. I stopped it and had to repeat this closing statement because I found it so profound.
It's been a fun and sometimes rough watch because so many of these episodes are still painfully relevant.
This was 16 years after the liberation of the death camps. It’s hard to appreciate now how fresh a memory it was at that time. We can’t really feel how hard this must have hit a contemporary audience.
