My tortie is a lil bitch but I love her anyway, her name is Cinnamon. My friends have several reptiles, like 2 beardies, 2 leopard geckos, a couple of sand snakes, I love visiting and looking at them

Torties have 'tude, they're known for it. But my iguana sure could have given mine a run for her money when it came to stinkeye/sideeye!!

She hates being held but will purr and growl at the same time when I cuddle her in bed, it's so funny. And I'm well aware of iguana attitude, I was handling one at a hands on herp lab during some volunteering and it was fine until it wasn't and gave me a whip of that long tail across my whole arm.

Mine hates being held, too! She doesn't even like being petted with both hands. Re. the iguana... you're lucky it didn't catch you across the face. Those tail spines can lay you open and need stitches! I have a few bite scars myself. The one here in my pic... oh, not her. She was my baby.

Only reason it didn't cut me open was because the tail was already close enough to me that it didn't have enough space to get to full speed. Stung like a bitch, left a long welt, but no broken skin luckily. And that's when I decided if I ever had enough money to get a reptile, it would be a skink
