That isn’t remotely the same. There isn’t a clear, explicit amendment for campaign financing. If he wants to remove birthright citizenship (or run a 3rd term), he has to repel an amendment. Not happening.
They changed who’s considered a citizen that’s pretty radical & it was an interest group agenda not the American people as a whole. It would take Congress to overturn it or a Constitutional Amendment ratified by the majority of states. Not what’s on the table for those interested pushing convention.
That still isn’t an enshrined amendment. Also, think about where SCOTUS derives its authority. The Constitution. If they ruled to override a literal amendment, what gives them authority on that or any other ruling? There is plenty to be concerned about with Trump, let’s focus on reality.
Their decisions “shape” the current understanding of the constitution. Who knows for sure what the founding fathers would judge is “correct” in the 21st Century they if could take in the complexity of now. Men and women serving must be honest custodians or SCOTUS means nothing.
