a friend once told me they like to spend 15min before bedtime jotting down any/everything coming to mind, feel like this would be a good writing exercise actually

it's quite helpful when you just need the thoughts to flow and bring you away from point A to elsewhere, the editing/self-critique can come when you're more awake
well i tried this last night and failed miserably by falling asleep instead. i do like the idea though. sometimes the thoughts don't flow as well when i'm in that self-critique mode, me getting in my own way etc etc so i'll give it another shot :)
