the best thing is that the bsky cdn can return the proper quality blob if asked to but the bsky appview forces jpeg on everything because fuck you

i also hugely dislike gif but it is the best widely supported format for my art. video is too big when uncompressed, if i wanted my gifs to have the same perfect quality theyd be 4x the size at least

i managed to create my pds during a break between classes at uni it's like 1 docker compose and 4 commands total it's actually quite really easy ive selfhosted 500000 pdses and counting
