It is an English expression, especially London. When my Northern partner wants to take the mick, he'll go mockney and say it. I have never used it unironically in my life 😆

Thanks! It struck me as a sort of dated expression, which was funny to hear from a 19-year-old. Interesting to see that it is a 19th century expression that is/has made a comeback.
