Agree, I'm so disheartened by mamy fellow remainers who can't understand the damage to the EU27 by Brexit or that we're a 3rd country with no alumni status. It's a very long road back not helped by constant cries of rejoin.
Did you catch Dmitry Grozoubinski on James O'Brien's show on Wednesday, he explained in easy to understand detail why just joining the CU or forming a CU with the EU27 is not quick or easy.
He basically said it could take up to 2 years of negotiating and the EU27 may not want to spend that time, we'd have to ditch the (crappy) FTA's we've signed with other countries, worth trying to catch up with or maybe it's on his Bluesky feed.
So, let me get this right, if we won't to re-join the EU/SM/CU on no account should we say that we want to re-join the EU/SM/CU on account of it "being a bit tricky"?
Most people want to rejoin the EU but the reality is that we can't in the immediate future. Labour are clearly making strides on improving the relationship and trade though so maybe support that?
It's not our decision, many people forget about the EU27 who will have seen Brexiters hysterial reaction to use considering joining the PEM. Until prominent Brexiters sit down and stfu the EU will be very unlikely to welcome us back with open arms.
As I keep saying. Labour aren’t going to brief the media, and I fully expect them to fucking lie to GB News and the Mail, but they know Brexit has failed and they will gradually fix it.
The only short term significant development towards undoing the damage of Brexit, that will make a difference, is Labour getting rid of that idiot Starmer as leader.
No, indeed. Labour politicians are cheerleading for SEZ/Freeports, which are incompatible with the EU. Tory & Labour have given corporation an £11 billion goodie bag & 25+ years to rape us
Heartening but still so slow, economy is in need of the growth better access will bring. Asking of those who know the detail is there a laddering of access we should look for, CU, SM etc ? Then address limiting factors, like SEZs, predatory deals with big capital like Blackrock etc.

It's perfectly possible to hold more than one view on routes to re-joining.
How else could it possibly be triggered? The EU27 decide one day that they miss us?
Those prominent Brexit champions will never stand down. We need to make the case more succinctly and successfully than they do.
PLEASE... just a flicker of hope would see me right!

Outside the EU, SM and CU- what % of GDP loss is that going to get us back? I’m going for 0.0%👍
