Hey ✨ do not look for a specific topic but at the moment I am interested in picture books for younger children so maybe till 3 years old (so not to much text) also I love it when it rhymes and I like it neutral (not specific for boys/girls "boys/girls are like that..") if that makes sense 🙈

This isn’t an age span I’ve collected many titles for mainly because typically for this age are „Pappbilderbücher“ that mostly feature „basic knowledge“.
If you look up „nursary rhymes“ you should find a ton of collections with classics to read to tho.

The first is leaning more towards kids who start kindergarten or even school, but I think it’s readable even before.

It’s in rhymes and is basically just about that everyone is different but still welcome. It shows that everyone does the same things just in their own unique way. There are mostly two til four text lines on each page but there are lots of details to look at.

The next one is kinda similar but more universal and with less focus on every day life but a bit more leaning towards a fantastical nature theme.

My now 5 year old loved all the Little Blue Truck books. Also The Very Hungry Caterpillar. Goodnight Moon. And anything Richard Scarry illustrated.

Richard Scarry’s Cars and Trucks and Things That Go is a favorite. Lots of fun illustrations to look at and a bit of “search and find” too.

here are some good ones to start with. i taught 4-year-olds for a long time and these were always popular. few words, or repetitive phrases. from what i remember, “The Snowman” has no words and is only pictures. if you like these let me know! i have lots of recs 💖
