I'm curious about what is going to happen at this junction when there is a collision. It appears to be designed without stop lines, roundabout markings or anything else. For example, do the crossings engage Rule H2 on pedestrian priority? I'd surprised some of them aren't proper Zebra crossings.

It's utterly crap as all that fancy paintwork doesn't give legal priority to pedestrians.

Also: the reason this puzzles me is that road markings in England are really tightly prescribed for consistency & certainty. I didn't think Councils were allowed to go off piste like this.
The bit when they are approaching or waiting at the crossing is more debatable.
