I still feel like there is a lot of room for discussion about boundaries and emotional maturity. You know how they say (someone with a normal healthy brain) we need to hear something seven times before it registers, and some of us do not have normal healthy brains or have normal healthy conversation

Similarly, even if you’re a legal adult (like 18-19) and someone old enough to be your dad is talking to you suggestively that man is a predator and you need to run. No matter how mature you are, that man shouldn’t be so immature that he can’t find someone his own age.

Six year age difference with my wife. Was 31 when we met through common interests. It has been a struggle at times to agree or see things the same. I wouldn’t recommend it for anyone much less a bigger difference.
We are still together 24 yrs later, but it was a lot of work to keep it together.

It's embarrassingly late that I got over minors, and it was by accepting myself as an adult man.

That said, there's a real and serious discussion to be had about how much of mainstream culture, including progressive spaces, actively KEEPS young men from doing that.
