Someone might want to point out to them how bad it looks on Canada's part to be demonizing indigenous people's (Palestinians) while the Canadian government is still digging up bodies of Native children at the boarding school internment camps.

Agree with the sentiment of the letter, but its impact in Quebec (e.g. in local media coverage) will be minimal as it’s in English and not in French. Seems self-defeating to address francophone leaders in a francophone province in English only. And the PEN Canada website has no French either?!

Mr. Engler was detained in #Montreal on Thursday February 20, 2025, and is currently out on bail.

#YvesEngler surrendered to the #SPVM Thursday morning and was imprisoned in Bordeaux prison until Monday afternoon.
