At best, this was a PR move on Trump's end, and Shou is kissing ass just to stay on his good side

At worst, this was an orchestrated event to spread propaganda, framing Trump as some hero when he literally did nothing bc the bitch isn't even in office, yet!!

Yep. I have that vibe, too.
And the creeping suspicion that Zuckerberg, Trump, and Shou are all doing something behind the scenes. Hence the more insistent ads about IG and promptings to sync contacts on TikTok with Facebook. It's always been there, yeah, but not so prominently.

Yep. It sucks. I finally deleted my Facebook apps and Instagram app because I'm so beyond done with it. If people REALLY need to get a hold of me from irl, which is the only reason I had FB, they can contact my family or something. I'm done.

Same! I have IG on my iPad because it's my second biggest platform, but I barely use it. It's basically just gonna act as a funnel to very occasionally post updates on to steer people towards my Bsky, Tumblr, YT, etc.

Yep yep exactly! And tbh, I've never really gotten much traction on ig, so even though it's my biggest platform with like 500 ish followers, it's sort of been dead for me anyways lol
