Who said anything about a shelter being at the front line. I’m sure there are some through the area. I’m sure with the help of the soldier to secure the dog and take him out of the front line that wouldn’t be a problem. Since he has ample time to picture and feed him. Thanks for the call suggestion

A sausage and a picture is a very different amount of time to rehoming every stray animal you see. Since you're sure that this is job of active military personnel, I'm sure you'd enjoy doing this while they are busy defending their homeland. Only so many hours in a day, and these are busy people.
