It's something the more acceptability focused queer spaces often miss, which leads to weird internalized homophobic, "I'm gay but not one of -those- gays", 'gays against groomers' and 'gays for trump' sorts.

(Of course, there's nothing wrong with being furry and not being into the more odd or sexual side of things! It's just when you get shamey and/or puritan about it that it becomes a problem.)
