I would have bet some serious cash money that Sephiroth would have featured in his own villains deck.

With what we’ve got, I think they’re all pretty cool. I’m especially into the lifegain deck and Cloud’s deck.

I think I need to theory craft more for the other 2 :)

That Terra card feels wrong. I could see if it was Locke, esp after his whole World of Ruin side quest, but the colors and the effects (minus flying) don't feel like Terra.

Cloud is the only one of the 4 that I know anything about and he doesn't really feel like Cloud, he feels like a generic Boros commander with green stapled to his chest

From a non-FF fan perspective, Yshtola is really aggressively worded and I’m worried that it’s gonna become the new bugbear at casual tables. A commander that rewards me for being aggro/attacked and helps heal the damage? Yikes.

Otherwise… they seem meh, especially “Alesha at home” Terra.

I think Bant would fit someone who has a vengeful side but also spends most of the game considering her place in the world. That said, these are commander cards, so it wouldn't surprise me if these have a different version in the main booster set. Not like 5 Aragorns in LotR, but maybe one other?

Right? The other thing I'm hoping is that they made most of the FF6 crew and decided the fit in these colors for the deck, and that's why she's Mardu. Gotta dig deep and pull out the whole squad!

While I'm most interested in the FFVI deck, I think it's sort of undeniable that Tidus is the most closely capturing the spirit of the character (i.e., Blitzball) while Y'shtola is probably the most interesting. I'm getting all four.
