They knew about each other and they were both in Bright Young Things but never in the same scene. So they had never worked together and as I understand never really talked to each other before. But they adored each other, so no competation. So I think they were excited to work together. #GO

Yes, they and Rob (and the other author) talked about that. It was such a wonderful thing - those two as great choices for these character as well as their instant chemistry. I don't want to dismiss the work of all the amazing cast and crew but without them #GO wouldn't have been what it is.
