As a past (short term) resident of McMurdo Station, I'm deeply concerned about what's happening to researchers (red squirrels), support workers (grey squirrels) & Navy Logistical Support staff who are currently on ice at McMurdo, Willy Field, S. Pole Station, etc.

Our tax dollars pay for this knowledge and for the discoveries that researchers make every day. But those researchers and their work are now being systematically disrupted and defunded through a McCarthy-style Witch Hunt, under the guise of rooting out so-called "gender ideology" and "DEI."

I agree this is an excellent summary about the threat to some of the finest organizations within our government that have advanced medical science and our public health. This is an unprecedented assault on everything from advanced medical research to the way that we store and share that research.
