@pbsnews.org is non-profit, but still follows the corporate journalistic norm of credulously reporting what Republicans say they want, instead of reporting what their actions and their right-wing network of wealthy donors clearly demonstrate they really want.
It's not a mistake. They don't want the rich to pay taxes and they want a flat tax to replace the progressive income tax. Reducing the IRS prevents audits and gets people pissed at the poor service so they will accept another tax system.
Only because he's among the wealthiest who may be targets of IRS audits would he slash the budget for the agency. Why would he not want the IRS to collect money?
