Violation!? Perhaps you mean “Roosevelt’s departure from the two-term tradition…?” FDR wasn’t breaking any laws when he ran for his 3rd and 4th terms. There’s enough drama with current events. Let’s not manufacture drama where none is needed.

I blame him, I blame the people that stepped aside for him, I blame the people that voted for him, I blame voters who abstained, I blame the numerous threats against some of the abstainees, Russia, and Musk for buying votes. I dont blame anyone for supporting FDR. He's barely the subject here.

Trump looks bad either way. He doesn’t need help from any predecessor. No one needs to “frame” FDR as the original sinner. Legally, he didn’t violate any laws but what he did violate was tradition and the unspoken commitment to limit a president’s power for the sake of our democracy.

The poor word choice here suggests otherwise. Trump announcing he's "not joking" when it comes to running for a 3rd term is gross enough, without trying to attack someone who refused to honor a tradition that became law. So "no one needs to..." doesn't matter here.

Did a Trump person write that PBS blurb? Trump was trying to piss up the tree higher than FDR's 100 days, so the framing of FDR in the PBS post sounds like state TV.
Election results prior to the 22nd show the people wanted the "violation."
