Absolutely. Some guy on Vincent Browne was saying he couldn’t imagine this happening in a private company, that they’re too responsible—completely ignoring the fact that it happened because of four private companies

Someone ordered a machine too big for any room in the gallery. Did this not happen with a photocopier or printer in the dail a few years ago? You don’t buy a sofa without measuring the room, anyone should know that. If they did find themselves with unusable equipment why did they not sell it off?

That's not the actual story tho. The OPW refused to accommodate the scanner that the gallery needed and secured, and it keeps dragging out the process.

This is all a distraction because the government are watering down the Occupied Territories Bill, getting rid of rental pressure zones and have bullshitted about the amount of houses they have built.

If you consider that some of them are like Fionnán Sheahan and believe that art is pretty pictures that perpetuates the status quo and anyone doing otherwise should be in a labour camp, it's even to be expected from some of them.
